family is a choice, relatives are forever.

in other words we have the power to choose who we associate with and equally the power to accept what is.

I find that though family is a choice, the bond is stronger than that of a "relative".
I have friends in my life that i consider more a family than some people who share the same blood as me. I like being able to choose my family. Relatives are relative.Posted 1 year ago permalink -
i can relate to what you're saying, with family/friends, we have to make that extra effort and go out of our way to associate with them. whereas with blood relatives in a sense they're there when you wake up in the morning. its almost as if we have more of a vested interest in those outside of our bloodline and maybe these bonds formed are stronger because of that persistent desire.

i wrote this a little ways back:
The tools acquired within the confines of our trust form a bond bred in the pursuit of a common goal to discover what is possible in ourselves and as a team. It is important to thank our self for the effort and to acknowledge our peers for being a catalyst for positive change. When we seize the opportunity in obstacles, miracles happen. The proof is in our reflection.Posted 1 year ago permalink
