interesting question, i feel like demanding respect is active, while commanding is matter of fact, it requires nothing but being. - G Truth Now

when you command respect it just happens - you never have to ask for it (let alone demand it).
but sometimes, if you are among disrespectful people, you may have to remind them. - A. Brian

@ A.Brian, so true; I recently experienced the second part of your post. Sad for me, I was at a weak moment, & I responded by demanding respect...fortunate enough to be able to correct ones self & to go forward & not dwell. Does anyone understand what I'm trying to relay? R. Honne

They're both material. Respect is a measurement/comparison in a very human sense however, respect is dignified. Commanding or demanding is a vice of confidence. We are only a servant of want.

inspiration and expiration. commanding is based on the natural laws of attraction... demanding is demeaning, power over, top down, hierarchical "I've upped my income, now up yours" kind of ego/shadow/fear doin the talkin'. #1 for me! K.Becker
